Remember the fun and excitement of participating in a library's summer reading program as a child? Trying to read enough to win that prize and attending fun and interesting programs brought excitement to those hot summer days when school was out and our friends were on vacation. At the Wayne Public Library, reading is not just for kids; why should reading programs be any different? Welcome to the 2009 Adult Summer Reading Program! The Adults Rock! Summer Reading Program began June 19 and ran through August 22, 2009. Contestants needed to read a book or listen to an audio, complete the entry form (or blog), and drop it off at the Adults Rock! Center Gold Rock Mountain. The more you read and entered, the more chances you had to win the Grand Prize of a $50 Borders gift card. The Grand Prize winner among the more than 200 eligible entries is Marylou Smith with her review of the book "Good Things I Wish You" by A. Manette Ansay. Please visit our Book Blog to read some of the book review entries. |
