The Adult Summer Reading Program @ The Wayne Public Library!
| 2010  Adult Summer Reading Program Fun!
The Water Your Mind- Read Summer Reading Program began Monday, June 21 and ended Saturday, August 14, 2010.
Wayne residents age 18 and up read a book or listened to an audio book, wrote a brief review, and placed the review in the Entry Form Fish Pond at the Reference Department's "Book Beach;" or blogged about it on the Wayne Book Discussion Blog. All blogs and submitted written entry forms are available to read on the Book Discussion Blog page.
The more entries submitted, the more chances to win the Grand Prize of a $40* Barnes and Noble gift card goody package! The winner chosen at random is Diane Dunn. Read her review of "Brooklyn" by Colm Toibin and all of the other review entries at the Wayne Book Discussion Blog. |

Heart of the Palm- Donation Tree
During the Adult Summer Reading Program, donations of canned fruit, fruit drinks, fruit snacks, (or any non-perishable item) were collected for the Wayne Interfaith Network. Donated items were distributed to families in need in Wayne Township. The Main Library will continue to collect food throughout the entire year. |

Treasure Hunt Tuesdays
Each Tuesday there were two hidden treasure chests:
-one treasure chest was buried in the Main Library's Reference Area -one treasure chest was buried at the Preakness Branch.
Discoverers unearthed them and presented it to the Reference Librarian and claimed their plunder*!

Movie and a Luau: South Pacific Two times the fun on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 This classic movie musical starred Mitzi Gaynor, John Kerr, and Rossano Brazzi. South Pacific (1958) Tropical refreshments were available. |
