Wayne Public Library's Adult Summer Reading Program

Adult Summer Reading begins July 1 and ends on August 31, 2018 @ 9 PM - Sponsored by the Friend's of the Wayne Public Library!

Program Rules
  • You must be a Wayne Resident and have a Wayne library card and be 18 years of age and up.
  • Pick up a reading log at the Main Library Adult Reference Desk or at the Preakness Branch Library!
  • All you have to do is Read a book, or Listen to an Audiobook or Watch a Movie!
  • Log each book you read, audiobook you listen to, or movie that you watch in your reading log.
  • You must present your Wayne Library Card and have a librarian initial each completed item in your log
  • For each completed book/audiobook/movie completed you will get one lottery ticket, to put in the lottery box for a chance to win a prize!
You will have a choice of which lottery ticket prize(s) you wish to enter:

1- $50 Gift Certificate provided by Field Goods - Fresh Food from Small Farms

2- Gift Certificates for a Free Oil Change (Value up to $40.00) at Route 23 AutoMall, Butler, NJ

Summer Knit, Crochet & Book Club - "Libraries Rock! - Knit a Summer Shawl or Crochet a Summer Poncho to ROCK your Wardrobe!"

Dates: June 13, 20, 27 ; July 11 (book discussion & party)

Time: 2:30 - 4:00 p.m.

Registration for advanced beginners to experienced knitters & crocheters, begins June 1st at 9:00 AM- Online or by phone 973-694-4272 Ext.5401 Last day to register is June 12 by 9:00 pm.

Book Club Books will be available at the adult reference desk, beginning the week of May 13th. Patterns will be available beginning June 1st, at the Adult Reference Desk.

The charm of a cottage style garden is characterized by the profusion of plants, color, fragrance and a little bit of whimsy. Essential elements and simple steps to achieve the look of a cottage garden will be presented.
