The Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) is the codification of the general and permanent rules published in the Federal Register by the executive departments and agencies of the Federal Government. It is divided into 50 titles that represent broad areas subject to Federal regulation. Each volume of the CFR is updated once each calendar year and is issued on a quarterly basis. 

Constitution of the United States of America 

Federal Register - The official daily publication for rules, proposed rules, and notices of Federal agencies and organizations, as well as executive orders and other presidential documents.

FedLaw - A collection of useful links for people doing federal legal research. 

GPO - Access to government documents from the Government Publication Office. 

Internal Revenue Service - Tax forms and related information. 

Patent Cafe - Information for those patent needs. 

Thomas Legislative Information - Includes full text of congressional bills and the Congressional Record. Searchable by topics, bill numbers, title, etc. since the 104th Congress. 

The United States Code - The Office of the Law Revision Counsel prepares and publishes the United States Code, which is a consolidation and codification by subject matter of the general and permanent laws of the United States.

The United States Code - The general and permanent federal Law of the United States. - Cornell Law School.

U.S. Copyright Office  - Provides copyright basics, a searchable database of copyright records, copyright law, and how to register a work.

U.S. House of Representatives 

U.S. Patent and Trademark Office - Search for information on patents, trademarks, how to apply, etc. 

USA Patriot Act - section-by-section summary prepared by the American Law Division, Congressional Research Service.

U.S. Senate database. 

United States Federal Judiciary - Clearinghouse for information from and about the Judicial Branch of the U.S. Government.
