Opportunity Knocks – Volunteering -  In the Library

Library Community Service

A healthy library depends on volunteers – people like you who are willing to share their skills because they care about their community.  Volunteering your time and talents is a powerful way to influence the quality of services at the Wayne Public Library.  There are frequently volunteer opportunities for teens in the library; maybe you could help the library out! Teen Advisory Group (T.A.G.)

The Teen Advisory Group is a group of young adults in grades 6 through 8 who are committed to helping the library.  The gang organizes and participates in a number of projects including puppet shows and crafts for kids, library displays and decorations, contests, and fundraisers.  If you’ve got a crazy idea for the library and you’d like to work on it, this is definitely the place to do it!  All fundraising profits are used to purchase materials for the Young Adult collection.
