Mrs. Newmark’s Page of AP American History - This is a great site that can link you to various sources of information for material covered in AP history classes.

Making of America - This is a digital library of primary sources in American social history from the antebellum period through the reconstruction.  Provided by the University of Michigan.

Veterans History Project - The Veterans History Project gives you access to first-hand audio and video accounts of U.S. Veterans from the following 20th Century wars: WWI, WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War, Persian Gulf War, Afghanistan and Iraq Conflicts.

100 Milestone Documents that Shaped America - A collection of information, images, and transcripts of the 100 documents that Americans voted the most important documents in U.S. history.

Chronology of U.S. Historical Documents - A timeline of historical documents as well as full-text access to those documents, from the University of Oklahoma’s Law Center.

Cultural Maps in American Studies - A fantastic spot to find historical maps from colonial times to the mid-20th century.  Also provides links to other American map sites.

Digital History - A fantastic website for social, political, and cultural primary sources in U.S. history including newspaper reports, speeches, music, and minority voices.  There are also handouts and an online textbook.

Documents for the Study of American History - This site provides you with html, pdf, and audiofiles to documents like Columbus’ journals, colonial charters, and memorandums about the Cuban Missile Crisis.  The site is organized by century.  It’s really great stuff for reports. 

History Central: Primary Documents - Find the text for a variety of American historical documents from the Age of Exploration to the present.

U.S. Historical Documents Archive - An archive of American documents from the US Historical Documents Archive.  You can browse by time period or by document type.
