The Friends of the Wayne Public Library (FOWPL) is a volunteer service organization whose goal is to foster the relationship between the library and the community.
What We Do:
The Friends volunteers manage book donations from the community, stock and staff the Friends Room Book Sale, provide refreshments for Lunchbox Learning, promote interest in the Liobrary's programs and activities, and lead fundraising efforts to support the library's goals.

- Our Impact:
- The Friends revenue provides funding for:
- Children's activity supplies and events, including Summer Reading prizes and CommuniTeens Program.
- The Museum Pass Program, which provides free access to many popular museums in New York and New Jersey.
- Movie showings
- Lunchbox Learning refreshments and some events.
- Piano tuning
- ESL Program materials
- Other Library needs
How you can help:
You can support the library by shopping the Friends Room, donating books, purchasing a stylish tote, and BECOMING A MEMBER! Renewing your membership annually allows the library to keep offering a high level of programs.
It's easy to join the more than 100 Wayne residents who are already members of the Friends of the Library. Dues are $15 per year for individuals, $25 for donor/family level membership, and $100 for lifetime memberships. Members can join our annual meeting on March TBD, 2025.
