Foraging Your Feast From the Woods

Saturday, October 20, 2018 - from 10:00am - 12:00pm - Main Library & outside

Join DAN LIPOW, owner of The Foraged Feast, LLC., for a two - hour class that will immerse you in the culture of foraging for your own food. Dan will guide you through the research and field methods used, as well as cover questions of sustainability and culinary use. In the field we will enjoy a moderate walk focused on seasonally available wild food. There will be frequent stops to learn about and collect nature’s bounty.

Dan Lipow 

Dan Lipow is a wild food enthusiast and owner of The Foraged Feast, LLC., a purveyor of wild and specialty provisions. The company sells foraged and wild mushrooms, greens, herbs, berries, roots, and other
wild edibles to restaurants and at farmers markets in New Jersey.
Dan also runs workshops and forays in which he shares his diverse knowledge and experience of foraged foods.
As a former professional photographer, Dan traveled the world exploring cultures and cuisines, often returning with new ideas, flavors, and techniques he could add to his culinary repertoire. That broad and creative background, combined with years of experience using wild and dynamic ingredients, comes through in his cooking.

Diane Lang ― Therapist, Educator and Life Coach

As a Therapist, Educator and Positive Living Expert, Diane has dedicated her career to helping people turn their lives around and is now on a mission to help
them develop a sustainable positive attitude that can actually turn one into an optimist, literally.

Through her three books, “Creating Balance & Finding Happiness”, “Baby Steps: the Path from Motherhood to Career” and “ Mindfully Happy- waking up to
life.” Diane has been speaking and empowering people nationwide. She is also an Adjunct in Psychology at Montclair State University, where her college work
includes mentoring students for personal issue advisement.

As an expert in her fields of therapy, Lang has been featured in the Daily Record, Family Circle, Family Magazine, Working Mother Magazine and Cookie
Magazine, seen on NJ 12 TV, Good day CT, Style CT, The Veira Network, CBS TV and “Fox & Friends”. She has also participated in a reality based Internet show,
ourprisoner.com, hosted Generation X-tinet.
