Programs are held at the Main branch of the Wayne Public Library & Wayne residents get preference for sign-up availability. Registration can be done online by visiting the Event Calendar above, beginning at the designated time on the registration date.

NOTE: If you are unable to attend a program, please kindly call the library in advance. This will allow others on the waiting list to attend the program, as well as prevent waste of materials.

Harry Potter 20th Anniversary Celebration!

Wednesday, September 26, 2018 from 4:00—5:00 PM

Welcome back to Hogwarts! Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone was published in the U.K. twenty years ago! Please join us for a celebration that includes edible magic wands, trivia and a raffle!

Open to Wayne kids in grades 3rd – 8th. Register online beginning Monday, September 17th at 7:00 AM.

STEM for YAs: Blimp Blitz

Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 5:30—6:30 PM

What is buoyancy? Students will explore and apply the principles of buoyancy to create a neutrally buoyant blimp that uses the power of air currents to travel across the room. Open to Young Adults in 5th through 12 grade.

Teen Knitting Club

Young Adults in grades 5-12, are you interested in learning how to knit? Come join us as we relax and learn the basics together. Feel free to bring in your own knitting needles and yarn.

WPL Y.A. Chess Club

Come and develop your strategic skills and challenge a new opponent. Young Adults in grades 5 through 12 are welcome to play chess against our chess mentor Mr. J or each other. Online registration starts Thursday, September 20th at 7:00 AM. 

CommuniTeens Meet: Harry Potter Magic Wands!

Fun, friends, and food! Get ready for Halloween and come make your own personal magic wand with our Mia our fellow CommuniTeen. This program is for Young Adults in 5th through 12th grade.

Afterschool Rocks

Wayne chilren & YAs ages 8-13 are invited to join instructior Kevin from Real Brave Audio for a fun music session! Kids will each be given a three-quarter size acoustic guitar to learn a few chords on. By the en of the class, participants will be able to play a song together! Don't miss out on this FREE hands on music experience.
